This guide is designed to help you get involved in developing a local groundwater sustainability plan, a requirement of California’s Sustainable Groundwater Management Act.

The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) requires the State Water Resources Control Board to adopt, by emergency regulation, a schedule of fees to cover the costs associated with state intervention.
