Utilizing grant funds from DWR's SGMA Implementation Grant Program, the Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency (YSGA) has worked with local landowners and growers to develop the Hungry Hollow Project Implementation White Paper (White Paper), outlining a community-driven, collaborative approach to addressing long-standing flooding, erosion, and groundwater sustainability challenges in the Hungry Hollow watershed. This white paper provides a comprehensive assessment and management framework for the Hungry Hollow groundwater area, building on decades of local stewardship efforts, including the 2011 Hungry Hollow Watershed Stewardship Plan, and advances implementation of the 2022 Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) through the Hungry Hollow Groundwater Working Group for the Hungry Hollow area.
